A Personal Note

I try not to write a lot of personal notes on my blog, but I’ve decided to break my rule once.

I wanted to tell you all that today is my 19th birthday. I plan to celebrate my birthday with a scrumptious meal made by my mom and by eating some chocolate. J

A Good Website

Earlier this year I was given a flyer for Bernat Cares. Normally I don’t do online memberships, but when I saw the website I was impressed.
If you’re looking for free patterns this is a great site. You set up your account (which is free! J) then you can search any pattern you want and put it in your online library for free. Then anytime you want that particular pattern you just go online and download it.
One of the great features about it is, there are no annoying adds. You’re not put on any e-mail lists unless you want to. And you can access thousands of patterns for free. I do love the sound of that word.
With easy sign in and navigation, this site is ideal for knitters and crocheters alike.
I found this site very helpful. I trust you will too.

Encouragement

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV)

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

Upcoming Classes

You know when I wrote in my ideas corner about teaching a class? I could have imagined that in less then a year I would be the head teacher of a class.
Last week I was offered to teach a homemaking class and I accepted. Now the planning and preparation begin.
To be honest, I’m a little nervous. I’ve never thought that I have been a good teacher, but when they offered I felt God telling me to take the position. Needless to say, I’ve been doing a lot of praying and planning.
The good thing is God has been helping me. He has been giving me strength and ideas.
The good thing is, homemaking is a subject that I feel very comfortable in. Since I do a lot of homemaking (even though I’m still a stay at home daughter) I hope to teach about the elements of a good home, decorating, planning, cleaning, being a good hostess, and filling your home with love.
I don’t know how well I’ll do, but I hope to teach them about more then just how to arrange flowers, but how to make a house into a home.
We’ll see how my adventure in teaching goes.

Great Quote

A need doesn't constitute a ministry. You can't do everything.
